The kids loved the fact that it was both films songs - makes it really good value.
Good but not great November 24, 2007 17 out of 17 found this review helpful
High School Musical: Sing It is a fairly good game with some replay value and nice extras (like dance lessons and cast interviews). One USB microphone is included, although a second is required for effective two-player play.
The main story mode takes you through the story of the first movie, narrated by Kelsi, singing the songs in sequence. You'll play that once and then mostly use Quick mode and Party mode. Getting high points unlocks additional songs, characters, costumes and styles which can be used to create a custom character.
As with every movie spin-off, some sacrifices have clearly been made to get it to market quickly. A few of the niggles are:
- The menu options are very small and it is difficult to select them quickly with the Wii remote - Text entry is ludicrous - rather than displaying all the letters on screen and pointing them out, you instead have to point to small left and right arrows to scroll through letters and select them one at a time. - While you can select which part of a song you wish to sing (e.g. Troy or Gabriella in "Breaking Free"), the parts are only described as "Part 1", "Part 2" or "mix", rather than specifying the character(s). - There is no indication whether you are supposed to be singing harmony or melody at any given time.
However, this game has got my partner, who is anti-HSM, interested in singing and playing, and I think it'll have the same effect for many others.
Kids love it November 20, 2007 30 out of 33 found this review helpful
I would agree with the comments the others make about the poor graphics and the dodgy singing, but I have 2 girls who love high school musical - and they think this is the best game they have ever played. They absolutely love it. If you are looking for a great game then I would say go for something like Boogie - but if you have HSM fans in the house and are looking for a great Christmas present then I would say this ticks all the boxes.

i did expect this game to be better than it was but i still throughly enjoy singing along to the hits from high school musical. its a wii though so high quality graphics are not expected, its what you get for 30.
