modern, relevant, real, spiritual, funny January 8, 2009
this book is as interesting, entertaining, intelligent, brilliant, kind, helpful and funny as the person who wrote it.
who 'in my view' is all of the above.
Very good - Funny and very useful December 27, 2008 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
Bought this book for my partner and guess what, I read it first, finished it two days after Xmas - had a quick peek and then couldn't stop reading. The book is written in a funny and entertaining way, so you won't get bored. And the F It way IS the way - there's a lot of things that might be a bit too much for some people, but as the author states "PICK AND CHOOSE", so read the book, have a think about what's applicable in your life and go for it. This goes to all the bad reviews - very likely you haven't read the book from A-Z, that would change your mind. but anyway, spend more time on this review that it's worth it so F it!. enjoy your chilled out way of living your life.
Great Cover; OK inside December 20, 2008 3 out of 6 found this review helpful
The cover is very good indeed and should help sell the book. The book itself is OK and maybe worth a read but its not memorable and after reading through I'm left with a shrug of the shoulders ; was it worth reading... and what the hell is he trying to say that cannot be said in one page.
"Dont sweat the small stuff" though old is more powerful and better written.
Marketing-wise F***it (whats the point in having such a bold title if you cant print it) has been fortunate,as 2009 is going to be a year when people will need the message to "not give a damm" but there must (and are/will) be better books.
Uplifting, liberating and witty December 9, 2008 2 out of 4 found this review helpful
This is a very good book for those of us who have too much of a conscience and who try far too hard to do it all right all the time.It makes you feel really good reading this book. The ideas are written very simply and its easy to see how to adapt the same attitude into your daily life. Its fun to read with humourus comments and a light-hearted approach is just what we need in life.Buy it if you feel the need to say the phrase or if you just have problems letting go-this book is all you need to guide yourself into a relaxed and stress free way of life.
Give up and let go! December 7, 2008 15 out of 18 found this review helpful
This book is very funny and a book with a major message, great strength (despite the title). The books message is to let go of all the struggle and effort to be the 'perfect you', to let go of all stress and realise that it all doesn't matter that much at the end of the day. It's about getting on with life, without getting in the way of your own happiness. It is like the spiritual teachings of surrender - the modern way being to say F..K IT! It's reminds me of the book Finding Reality which carries a similar message. It's also like the Sri Ramana message of 'Be As You Are' - give up, let go of all effort and just 'BE' - what a great message!
