Chaos is coming February 12, 2007 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
This book details the events of the recent worldwide Storm of Chaos Warhammer campaign and gives the in game perspective for the battles during that time. The book covers all the events and portents that preceded the campaign, the Conclave of Light, the rise of Valten and the climactic siege of Middenhiem. Darkness is written in the form of a journal of the historian Frederich "Old" Weirde and includes first hand accounts of events from his son Stefan. The book includes some good background information on Middenhiem and a small amount of info on the Empire as a whole during this period. Although Darkness Rising doesn't go into the detail of what happened during the Storm of Chaos the book does give you a good first person perspective of life in the Empire when under threat by the forces of Chaos.
