Don't bet on Willie's facts! January 11, 2005 3 out of 5 found this review helpful
One of the best known faces in snooker over the past 25 years, Willie Thorne was also addicted to gambling from an early age and this book does not seek to avoid any the less flattering facts including an attemted suicide. Willie tells us of the self doubt that caused him to lose many big matches even from winning positions.
For the snooker fan there are a number of factual errors which may spoil the enjoyment to some extent but most will find it an intersting little book.
At only 143 pages, many of which are taken up with photographs, it does not take long to read.
