5 out of 5 stars A Must Have...   August 22, 2008
This is honestly the one of the best albums I have ever purchased, and believe me I have many. Although I am a fan of genres such as Alt rock/soft rock, very few songs have actually been meaningful to me, in the sense that they have not touched my soul or left a huge impression on me. But every one of the songs in this album has meaning, and so many emotions conveyed through well thought-out lyrics. A raw, confessional album, One-X finds frontman Adam Gontier delving into a sense of utter loneliness that ironically comes from being constantly surrounded by other people. From listening to this album we can see that One-X is simultaneously the story of Gontier's personal destruction on the road, and a universal tale of feeling like an outsider.

i heard about three days grace randomly so bought their first album and thought it was quite good. then i bought this. it is amazing!!! they are now my favourite band and this is the best album i own. every track is a standout and leave you listening to it for hours!!

every song would be rated 9/10 apart from the odd few which would be given 10/10. the best songs are pain animal i have become and never too late. you cant help but sing along to every song, youll be singing so much you'll annoy everyone else!!

this is a must have cd for anyone!!! buy it now!!!!

5 out of 5 stars damm them   October 23, 2007
ok so this album is sooooo annoying because its so painfully perfect!
there is nothing new or different about this album but it is so damm good.
the songs are so simple and so effective. they set up home in your head for days...no wait a minute make that weeks!!!!
the songs are very much in the hard rock and grunge vein, but what separates this band out form the rest of the crowd is the phenominal voice of the singer...the man manages to imbue his lyrics with such feeling and emotion its hard not to be swept away by the whole song.
its not to say that they dont have some heads down rock songs...wintess animal i have become or the ripping riot.
but for me this lot are at their best being slower and more reflective on songs such as the slow burner get out alive and never too late.
but my personal fave has got to be the mighty gone forever that slowly builds to a monster chorus that will stick with you till the day you die.
the only way to avoid this lot is to ignore them completely because if you do let just the one song pass your ears you will have to get the rest.
dont say you havent been warned!!

this album rocked my world! it was sooooo awesome much better than the first... but the best ones are time of dying, let it die and over and over! personally, i don't think there's any1 like three days grace so if youre not sure just give it a try i cant express how great it is! my fav album eva XD

5 out of 5 stars Well done 3DG, keep it up!   December 17, 2006

Hey guys, I've been listening to 3DG for years now, since my brother introduced me to "I hate everything about you" and I can't say Im dissapointed! The Canadians new album is all about their lead singer, Adam Gontier, when he got depressed after 22 months on the road, and became addicted to Heroin. All of these songs tackle through the lyrics, melody and names, such as "Pain", "Get Out Alive" and "One X" - if you dont understand the last one, take a look at the cover. I'd say "Pain" is the highlight, and the unusually cheery "Let It Die" is great too. All I can say is if you like Music, then get this!
