if you want to draw Link and Zelda February 7, 2005 8 out of 11 found this review helpful
And are interested in improving your drawing skills too. then this is a fantastic book. Its long, detailed, colourful and a delight for younger people as well as teens and adults! I bought it for my nephew (who's 13) and he loves it and makes good use of it.
Quite a range November 11, 2003 3 out of 4 found this review helpful
This book has quite a range of characters, but it is limited in it's usefulness. There are only three or four steps to each character, and no colour guide. You do get some more of the unusual characters like a Dodongo and a Tektite, but there isn't an Adult Zelda, only the child version, which is slightly frustrating as they offer the child and adult link in different poses. It also only has set poses and everything is in very simple thick black lines, not allowing for much detail, this is most notable on Volvagia, which is also slightly small to see propperly. Overall it's worth the price tag, I wouldn't pay anymore for it, it's simple and set poses, but can help to be that stepping stone, and by also offering images of some things that you can't easily find among the official art it is unquiely helpful in that area. But it is for beginners and people that don't want too much detail in their drawings.
It could have been better! February 18, 2002 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
The book is very thin (to my suprise!), and I thought there would have been more characters in the book. If it was re-released with all the Zelda characters, it would be far far better. Worth the [price] if you like to do a bit of sketching!!
This is a must for every Zelda fan! October 8, 2001 8 out of 11 found this review helpful
I have a collection of every single zelda book, zelda video, zelda sticker, zelda game, zelda actionfigures, zelda ocarinas, etc. but no book has ever taught me how to actually draw zelda figures, step by step. I had a previous edition of the book, and although that one was exellent, and i hope the newest edition will be even better! HURRY UP TITTELBAUM!
