Short but sweet October 23, 2008
I had heard a lot about this so was really pleased when this was released. A different parody to Blue Harvest, more like out-takes and behind the scenes hidden camera type of show. Some excellent sketches including Admiral Akbar cereal. Main issue I had was the length..... I has assumed that this was an extended episode like Blue Harvest, but in fact it was only around 20 minutes with the rest of the DVD taken up with unrelated episodes and extras, so for that reason only 4 stars for me.

So funny, I had to pause the DVD because I was laughing so hard, and I didn't want to miss a single second.
It's true what they say at the end of Family Guy Blue Harvest, Robot Chicken: Star Wars is far better and funnier Star Wars spoof. Standout sketches for me were Admiral Ackbar's cereal advert ("It's a trap!"), the 'true story' behind the arm-severing at the Tattoine bar, and the final show piece 'Empire on Ice'. A must for all Star Wars and cutting-edge animation fans.
Bring on the rest of the adult swim universe.

Caught this on adult swim when I was on Holiday in the States last year.
Excellent parody of the Star Wars film series (with notable cameos from George Lucas, Mark Hamill and the cast of Family Guy). This will complement your copy of Family Guy's Blue Harvest perfectly.
With some real memorable sketches, this is a classic!

Finally someone has had the sense to release Adult Swim DVDs in the UK. I've seen this episode already and I really recommend buying it and forcing your friends and family to borrow it (Actually I've heard a rumour it's got limited edition packaging, if so - best to tell them to get their own in case they ruin yours!). I can't wait to see what extras it has. This is an absolute must for any lover of Star Wars. Personally I think it's much funnier and cleverer than Family Guy's Blue Harvest. Buy it now and you can proudly tell people you jumped on the wagon before it became a bandwagon!

I've already pre-ordered this and personally can not wait for it to come out! Not only is it a collection of the BEST Star Wars related parts from the series, but I read there'll be over 2 and half hours of extras on the special edition DVD including commentaries, deleted scenes and bonus adult swim episodes.
As a huge Star Wars/Robot Chicken AND Adult Swim fan i've been waiting for this to arrive in the UK for ages and it will be a great introduction to Robot Chicken series for those who haven't yet had the pleasure. I would recommend this to anyone whos a fan of Family Guy/Futurama etc I guarantee you will love it!!!
