Best for 1st time YOGA! August 29, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Brought this a few months ago, never been to any classes but just wanted to try at home and see if i could get into it and enjoyed it! The girl on the dvd showing the moves is hot! Which is a good start and she talks you though everything slowly with nice gentl music playing in the back ground...before you know it you've been doing YOGA for an hr and your body is being pushed to the limits! If you've never tried YOGA this is the perfect start. Go buy!
Basic yoga workout for dummies - try it!!! August 11, 2008 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I found this dvd really helpful to help me practise the yoga postures at home. I would suggest attending classes aswell though as the dvd managed to confuse me slightly. However i would still advice people to give it a go.
OK for complete beginners, but infuriatingly slow July 15, 2008 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
For the complete beginner, this DVD is good for a while. However, after a few workouts, it feels infuriatingly slow. Once you know the set up for each pose, it is annoying having to go through it each time you use the DVD. I would not recommend this DVD if you're already familiar with the basics of Yoga, or if you're looking for something a bit more motivating.

If you find happy cheery patronising americans annoying; do not buy this DVD. i have not even managed to go throught the entire DVD once as the woman is so annoying.
OK for beginners May 27, 2008 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I bought this as an alternative workout to my Pilates Workout for Dummies (which is excellent), which is why I put this in the category of being simply OK. As a beginning you require your trainer to explain the position and the motion of the breathing before you assemble into a pose and not during set-up and this is the biggest downside for me; starting out your barely able to hold the poses and at this point she is still yet to advise what you are to do!
All in all this is not a bad DVD, but the pace is slow and I do not find this is not a recurring workout to engage in on the basis of the direction and excessive talking.
I am in the process of looking for a new yoga DVD that I can use day-to-day, any suggestions?
