Amazon.co.uk Review Allen Carr's Easyway to Stop Smoking is a CD-ROM self-help guide for those wanting to give up the dreaded weed. Allen Carr once smoked 100 cigarettes a day. Then he stopped. Instantly. And apparently without any problems. Allen Carr's name is associated with clinics throughout the world, and now this software adds another way of accessing his stop smoking method. The CD-ROM's contents are divided into 17 chapters--the "Addiction" chapter shows that nicotine is a drug and explains that you get addicted to it faster than cocaine or heroin; "Special Cigarettes" gets to grips with those cigarettes that seem particularly good (for example, the one just after a meal or the first of the day)--Allen explains that the reason these are special is that they follow times when you couldn't smoke (because you were eating or sleeping) and that it's the addiction kicking in, nothing more. Work through Allen Carr's Easyway to Stop Smoking and you will understand why you smoke, and how you can get your attitude in order and stop right now. When you've worked through the CD-ROM (which you can easily do in a single session) you should be ready to stop smoking immediately. And with a 90 percent success rate you may never buy another pack again. --Sandra Vogel

I like many other people who have read this book have quit smoking with EASE thanks to Allen Carrs method. I smoked 20-30 cigerates per day and had given up 5 times un successfully. I now enjoy life more without cigarettes - my confidence and increased, my stress levels have decreased, I enjoy social occasions more, I don't smell, I look better and feel better. The books works!! Not only does it work but Allen has a fantasic writing style the guy should be knighted.

Go to the bank. Take out 10. Buy a packet of cigarettes and this book. Read the book whilst smoking the cigarettes. It WILL be the last packet you will ever have. Alan Carr's book is remarkable in that it is so blatantly obvious when you read it. All a smoker has to do to stop smoking is understand what it is they are doing. Alan Carr doesn't show you how to 'give up' smoking. You give up nothing. You simply stop doing something. A close friend of mine lost his father suddenly, two years after his sister was killed. He stopped smoking on this book a month later (do not think that stopping is stressful!). Buy this book, read it and start your new life ... smoke free. Its as simple as that ... really!!!
OMG!! Stop reading this and just buy the cd-rom!! July 29, 2005 6 out of 6 found this review helpful
I bought this cd-rom on an outing to a large computer store, took it home and there it sat for 5 weeks before I could be bothered to watch it. Packed up the next day, and two years down the line, am still grateful. I havn't looked back, loving not waiting for my next smoke, planning my days around where, when or how long I can or can't smoke. My smoking days are over, good riddance! Forget the patches, gum, Hypnosis, accupuncture or whatever else I havn't tried and buy this cd-rom immediately, for your sake. IT WORKS.
Allen Carr Easy Way February 8, 2005 The proof is in the pudding.I have not smoked or wanted a smoke since reading the book in May 2004 after smoking for 22 years.
