Reliable, capable, speedy November 29, 2008 Sandisk cards are superb little pieces of technology. I use them exclusively, I think I have around 10 of various capacities and speeds.
These are the largest I own. They are very, very good value for money. I'm used to using the 2GB Extreme III cards and these are noticeably slower (slower being a relative term) when downloading images from the card onto my computer. However, it would be a bit stupid to mark it down for that as I knew they were going to be slower. In a canon 5D they give me something like 230 shots, a canon 40D yields around 270. A full card takes around 20 mins to transfer all images. Good numbers.
I remember (eeeeh, when I were a lad!), not that long ago really when even a 1GB card like this cost hundreds of pounds. Now you can pick up a 4gb card for less than fifteen sheets.
So full marks for an all around great product yet again
Indispensable November 27, 2008 Indispensable if you have bough a SLR Sony. The photos size are so big, then you'll need a card with a big capacity, and this one solve the problem.
Best Price Ever September 4, 2008 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
An awesome price for one of these brilliant little cards. If your camera uses CF, then this is a pretty good purchase to consider. 4GB is perfect for me as I take a lot of photos and have run out of a 2GB card before on shooting trips so buy this if you like to happy snap and not change cards too often. I have two of them - one for spares!
Ultra Better than Extreme August 13, 2008 5 out of 5 found this review helpful
Bought this 4Gb card in June 2008 to go with my Canon 400D on a European cruise thinking I would need more storage than my existing SanDisk Extreme cards (1 and 2 Gb) but the speed of the Ultra both on camera and transfer speed to computer (Mac) was light years ahead in terms of speed. I'll sell the Extremes and upgrade to Ultra.
Increased Speed May 28, 2007 37 out of 38 found this review helpful
Bought this to replace a 1Gb Microdrive so I could shoot RAW files with my Fujifilm S9600. Thought that speed difference would be negligible as I presumed it was limited by the camera, however when it comes to reviewing shots (i.e. Read speed) scrolling is almost instantaneous, compared to a highly noticeable delay with the old card.
