1 out of 5 stars DO NOT BUY THIS!!!!   November 4, 2008
I bought this for my daughter for her 11th birthday and it proved absolute rubbish.
It started off by not loading, and then when we did get it to load, only one of the cheats would work.
Disapointed, we then tried it with a different game, hoping for a better result. It loaded ok, but then crashed. We tried again, and this time I amm happy to report that the cheats DID work. But only for a few seconds.
A few weeks later, we tried the game again, only to find that it wouldn't load at all and the gameboy wouldn't turn on with it in.
So really, unless you enjoy being disapointed, do not buy this game. It is terrible value for money and we have recived no satisfaction from it.

1 out of 5 stars AVOID AT ALL COSTS   March 30, 2008

This cartridge does not do exactly what it says on the tin, i cant use it to get any new pokemon, it often crashes and many of the items and warp to location cheats dont work. ive tried it on two games so far and checked the online support which is non-existant, furthermore is the call helpline charges 1 an hour. if you want deoxys or anything else you'd be better off getting a ticket to japan.

3 out of 5 stars Good news and Bad news   July 30, 2007

Good news - This device enabled me to get hold of some pokemon which I would never be able to get hold of otherwise (eg. Jirachi, Celebi, etc.)

Bad news - I you are buying this for legendary pokemon Mew and Deoxys look elsewhere - if you unlock them in Pokemon Leaf green or fire red they will not obey you and are effectively useless. and if you unlock them in Ruby and Saphire they are obedient but cannot be traded to Colluseum or Xd gale of darkness in short buy a full version of action replay which allows you to input codes - many online gamers have found ways round the problems of unlocking Mew and deoxy's which aren't possible with this product.

3 out of 5 stars Confusing   July 29, 2007

This product is excellent for use with Ruby and Sapphire (just be aware you can only use one code at a time), no problems whatsoever, rare pokemon easily obtained!

However!

This product is 100% useless with leafgreen. The codes don't seem to work and appear to corrupt the game information (ie instead of having 99 pokeballs you'll have "?36"). I haven't tried to save after loading cheats because I'm scared to, but with ruby/sapphire, all you need to do is choose your pokemon and it's there in slot 1 of box 1. (It'll overwrite the pokemon there, if there is one). With leafgreen you choose your pokemon on the action replay and it doesn't appear in a random battle, and if you go into your stored pokemon boxes, the game crashes. There doesn't seem to be a guide on the internet on how to fix this and the manual is totally unhelpful.

To sum up, buy this if you have ruby and sapphire, it's invaluable, (especially if you missed the masterball, like I did) but don't bother for firered/leafgreen- it just doesn't seem to have an effect.

4 out of 5 stars very useful   June 27, 2007

I had to return the first one as it seemed to crash a lot but the second one has worked perfectly so I assume I originally got a dud. Despite the initial problem nether damaged my game in any way and to be honest I don't think I would have been able to EV train etc without it so easily. I have fire red and have caught pokemon I would not be able to get which has been great in really going for the team I actually want. Some gamers now with pokemon on wi-fi frown upon AR users but in no way will this pack let you produce freak pokemon. It only lets you have a shot at getting one at its best potential assuming you understand the whole EV,IV thing in the first place. Very easy to use too.
