Product Description In Nintendogsa Miniature Dachshund & Friends you can care for and train your puppy by petting it, walking it and buying it supplies to play with. As a puppy competes in obedience and agility trials, owners can win money to purchase other puppy breeds.
Amazon.co.uk Review In a nutshell: The ultimate evolution of virtual pet: Nintendogs gives you opportunity to preen and look after a selection of cute puppies in a virtual home, with virtual currency, where you can buy toys and accessories for their enjoyment. You can clean the pups, feed them, walk them, play catch with them, and even talk to them. The lowdown: Nintendogs is brimming with character. Each pup looks out from the DS touchscreen and paws longingly. You can respond to your virtual pet's need of attention by stroking the screen, using items such as balls and brushes with the aid of the stylus, and talking to your dogs through the DS's inbuilt microphone system. Impressive 3D graphics give lifelike animation to these canine wonders. Most exciting moment: After a few attempts to speak commands into the microphone, your puppy understands the meaning of "sit", barks approval, and sits down. It's good to talk. Since you ask: You can keep three pups in your home at any time. When left to their own devices, they'll play and play-fight together. And they call this 'puppy love'. The bottom line: A Nintendog is not just for Christmas. Jonti Davies

Bit Boring After A While November 6, 2008 Well, not being a spoil sport or anything, but all you do is feed and water your dog and wash it - that's all
Gr8! September 5, 2008 This game is gr8 and I loved it as soon as I got it. It is really fun; you get to have loads of dogs. This was my first ds game and I would really recommend this game to anyone especially first time gamers. Unfortunately I lost this game a few months ago and am deeply depressed as it was my favourite game. Chihuahua one is also great but don't get two as they are the same apart from you start off with different dogs which after you have played for a while you start to get different dogs that you would get sooner in the other games. My age rating would be 4+.

nips 5 stars September 1, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
A great game, definitely something different for me considering I normally buy football or action games! The reason this has only just got 5 stars is because it is too easy to complete. The graphics are very good, but there are certain aspects of the game that are not perfect such as a lack of variety of things to do within the game. Playing the game in public can also be difficult given you need to speak to your dogs, somewhat limiting the portability of the DS.
Having said that, I have not enjoyed a game nearly as much as I have liked this for a long time. I have been hooked for every one of the six days that I have had it.
All in all, great game, I recommend it.
good at first but after a while..... July 23, 2008 I have had this game for about a year but after the first 3 weeks I got bored stiff. The competitions are good at first but then all of a sudden you get really bored of it as there is not a lot to do. The walks are very boring they don't even look real, whenever your dog picks up presents they are always the same ones. When the dogs are eating they don't even look as if they are eating, they look as if they are eating the bowl. So the graphics aren't the best! So if your planning to buy it I would not recommend it, buy another game such as mario kart (which is my favourite).
