2 out of 5 stars Very ordinary basic FPS   July 8, 2008
On the PS2 in it's early days or PC around the same time, this would have been a pretty average basic FPS.
Nowadays it just looks really outdated and bland. The wii controls work ok, except for trying to turn around quickly (you simply can't).
The graphics are pretty bland and jaggedy, although it does have nice large environments.
The enemies are hopeless, you can complete whole levels casually walking past the enemies ignoring the tiny amount of damage they do to you.
Not really worth bothering with in the days of Medal Of Honor Heroes 2 and Metroid Prime 3.

1 out of 5 stars AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE   April 30, 2008
Seriously, this isn't even as good as my old N64 games.

I bought this second hand and there are several HUGE flaws which make it unplayable.

1. The graphics are the same as on an N64 or at a stretch, a PS1... oh dear indeed... Every bit of the jungle looks plain and unimaginative and the shadows of the foliage don't show up till you're right next to them.

2. The wii remote doesn't pick up hardly any of the movements you make and so this makes gameplay stunted, stupid and simple.

3. It's ridiculously easy... I had it on normal level and played the first few bits (which looked exactly the same) without getting one shot fired at me. even when i got right up close to the enemies.
THE AI IS STUPID!

OK so the wii doesn't have as good graphics capabilities as the pS3 or xbox360 but still, super mario galaxy, metroid prime 3, the godfather, splinter cell double agent and zelda all managed to pull off great games, (Well the godfather was ok) with pretty damn good graphics.

I seriuosly can't beleive how people gave this any more than 2 stars.

Go buy call of duty or medal of honour, or no more heroes.

1 out of 5 stars Rubbish!!   April 26, 2008
This game;
A: Has terrible graphics.
B: Has really crappy gameplay
C: Is terribly overpriced at 35 for a 2yr old game!
and D: Is just substandard in every way.

You play this game for about an hour, then you are so bored of the terrible AI of the enemies, and the rubbish guns you get (which there is not enough ammunition for) that you turn it off. Also there are not enough health packs anywhere, and it seems like you run out of health far too quickly. Theres no stealth mode, and the whole turning into a mutant thing really doesn't work. This game is only fun if you cant get something better, and thankfully on the Wii there is medal of honour and COD3.
DO NOT BUY

4 out of 5 stars Not to Bad   January 7, 2008

A few people slating the Wii version of this game, now ive got the orginal episode on the PC, completed it and loved it, I read the reviews and on here and bought it anyway because I wanted a shoot-em-up on the Wii, so here goes my review;

Graphically its not the same as the PC version but its not bad and certainly doesnt effect game play it took me about 2 re-starts and had to move my Wii to a better sofa position before i got used to the controls bullets flying everywhere apart from in my enemies bodies! but after about 10mins everything was sorted and proper game play could begin just like the first game you get to drive jeeps ride Jet Ski's slide down zip lines etc and actually I think the Wii Controls give you more control in vehicals than a keyboard and mouse.. (Yes shock horror i know) all in all its much like the first episode that came out on the PC but with a slightly different story so far anyway... for the Wii its a good shoot-em-up, one annoyance is the music Grrr thats my one complaint turn it down! gets annoying.

1 out of 5 stars WARNING - AVOID   May 5, 2007

Far Cry for PC was developed br Crytek and was an incredible game - Ubisoft bought the brand and developed the Xbox and Xbox 360 versions and handled the Wii conversion. And its bad. Bad in a way that will make the boys at Crytek cringe -its truly awful - dreadful textures - dreadful ememy AI - enemies that seem to teleport from nowhere to being right in front of you - you can pump someone full of 10 bullets and they are still standing yet one shot from them can kill you. Games are meant to be fun - this is not! Please go out and buy the PC or Xbox 360 version. This is one of my favourite games but now with the Wii version is my most hated if i could i would give it 0.
