Great game + good accessory. January 3, 2009 Though I bought this for the zapper, the game is actually pretty good as well.
Zapper works fine, the sight on screen doesn't exactly line up with the gun, so you can't look along the zapper to aim, but this doesn't matter in the games.
Used with Quantum of Solace as well as Links crossbow training, and it's great!
Buy it for the crossbow training, and enjoy the zapper in other shoot-em-up games.
I Love the Wii Zapper December 31, 2008 The wii zapper is great value and works well with many games for the wii. Many games have settings for the wii zapper which enhance the gameplay hugely. It is not needed but just like the wii wheel, is worth getting. The game with it is fun and has a great multiplayer mode which make it an even better purchase. Definitely 10 out of 10 for the WII ZAPPER
Does what it says on the tin December 30, 2008 Exactly what I ordered, in slightly excessive packaging. Better fun than I thought it would be - can see a lot of potential as a party game.
I reckon it could be 'completed' very quickly, but it's more a game for beating your best score and sharing with other players.
Being slightly gauche (or left handed) I can't quite settle on which way I should hold the crossbow device, but the item itself is of typical high Nintendo good design and quality (this from someone who really didn't like Nintendo as a gaming company).
Really happy with this gift voucher indulgence.
Target Practice!! November 29, 2008 The game is good, it is basically a target practice game, where you try and score as many points as possible. Some of the targets are stationary, some move slightly and others are moving enemies. My favourite level involves Link (you) flowing down a river, trying to shoot enemies and targets, it looks good and is a fun level. If anyone has played Twilight Princess they will recognise the locations and enemies.
The problem with the game is that it is too short. You can easily complete it in one sitting and be left there thinking.....is that it? Yes, you can go back and try to better your score, but it would have been better if there were more levels or it was a bit more difficult.
The "wii zapper" is a great idea, its easy to use and works well with Crossbow training. However, I am quite disappointed in the lack of titles that support the "wii zapper", it would make a fantastic first person shooter with online capabilities.
Overall, for the price, it is quite good! The game is short (so be aware) but it can be replayed, and can be quite addictive trying to get higher scores. Hopefully in the future there will be more games released that make good use of the wii zapper, maybe even a follow up to crossbow training!
Don't buy a spare gun! September 27, 2008 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I bought this game for my boys and being a considerate mum (to avoid the fighting) I bought a spare gun / crossbow for the second controller.
It would appear that you can only set it up for one controller which is them passed between players. (If I'm wrong I'm hoping someone will explain how to get the second one working!)
So - in short - good game but don't waste your money buying a second gun / crossbow.
