Bought one of these & it does exactly what it says on the tin. No problems at all. I guess the other reviewer got a duff one or blew the fuse by maybe starting the car with it plugged in. There is no reason not to buy this if you need one, especially at this price.

Thought it was the socket in the car, but once we tried in a different car realised that it just didn't work.
I guess you get what you pay for - the stand-alone DS charger we have has worked fine all the time
