A big dissapointment May 25, 2008 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
This game takes itself far to seriously to be any fun at all. You cannot just put on and play, I found myself having to refer to the manual constantly and it struck me that you actually had to know quite a lot about real fishing in order to have any chance of knowing which lures etc. to use for what fish. This game may suit someone who is very knowledgeable about fish and fishing equipment but for anyone without fishing experience, treating it as a game and wanting to just have a bit of fun it's a complete waste of time. Worst game I have ever bought, traded it in within 48hours.

I wasn't expecting a great deal from this game but i wasn't expecting this. I expected the interaction with this game would work well on the Wii bearing in mind that the Wiimote is half way there to being a rod and to an extent it does; they have used the Wiimote to it's potential. The fundamental problem is that it is slow and gets very boring...some would say "well fishing IS boring" and i would say yes but when computer games are involved you expect a little more imagination from the creators. Not so... Were are the wacky things you come to expect that liven up an already boring sport. Maybe i should have known better but i like to give things a go!

Looks as though this company is jumping on the wii bandwaggon. The control system is strange, online instructions poor and the program takes itself far too seriously.
