exciting game!! December 30, 2008 bought this game a few days ago, i saw a trailer for this awhile back a disaster game but with varied play mechanics such as: arcade shooting sections very reminisant of time crisis, theres driving sections and on foot exploring sections all made very well and exciting.
the voice acting is very corny and reminded me of most japanese games made in the nineties on the ps1/ps2(which is no bad thing)theres also a bit of swearing in the game. the graphics are of a good standard mostly, in some places it can be very blocky and jerky but mostly good. its a game that keeps you on your toes but all in all a fun game with lots to do and enjoy.
i highly recommend SOS: final escape on ps2 if you liked this kind of disaster game but that doesnt have any shooting or driving bits but its probably as good as this game. Recommended
Hollywood Entertainment December 30, 2008 Loved this game. The story is not the best, but it somehow manages to make you want to go to the end to see what happens. 3 different types of gameplay in a single game: 3rd person exploration, driving and 1st person on-rails shooting. I wish the driving parts were longer, because I really loved them.
It's one the best looking Wii games to date, although it feels like it was a bit rushed (some parts look a lot better than others).
Great dialog too. It's like being in a movie! More people should buy this game, because we want a sequel!!
Brilliant, Takes me back December 24, 2008 The Wii is rightly a family console but those family/casuel games only take the console so far. The Wii needs hardcore games and this is one. It is like being in a B-Movie where you are doing and witnessing loads of different moments all kept together by fast action and cheesy dialogue.
As with all Wii games the graphics have a few jaggies but the game creates some real tense atmosphere as you watch then run away from oncoming major disasters.
It reminds me of games created years ago that had the same concept but could not pull off the graphics or controller actions the consoles now can. Waited for it to get discounted on price and it was well worth the money. The Wii needs these kinds of games roll on fatal frame IV, the conduit and Cursed Mountain.
great game November 15, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I love this game, I love natural disasters and thats why i bought it, but was still really surprised. I've never been into shoot 'em up games, and this has quite a bit of shooting, but i enjoy it. Great graphics, i've been playing it for about a week and still not even half way through it. It's a must buy.
Give it a go, its quite good! October 29, 2008 5 out of 5 found this review helpful
Bought this the day it came out after seeing some previews of the game. Really really good game, great combat and the added bonus of saving people while the city around you falls to pieces is great! Some of the cut scenes are abit long but it does add atmosphere esecially the car chasing / gun fight on the bridge ;) Go play it and be amazed at decent graphics on the wii for once!
